Lewisham Citizens Advice Bureau
Independent charity offering free, confidential and impartial advice on big issues affecting people’s lives, such as money, benefit, housing or employment problems. You may be facing a crisis, or just considering your options. The Bureau values diversity, promotes equality and challenges discrimination wherever it sees it. Live Well Greenwich
This service offers Greenwich residents face-to-face, over the phone and online advice, on a wide range of issues that impact on health and wellbeing including debt and finance, work and training, housing and social isolation. Residents can also benefit from up to six 45-minute face-to-face sessions with Live Well coaches in selected community settings for signposting and support. One-to-one advice is available over the phone six days a week via the Live Well Greenwich call centre and the Greenwich Community Directory website is an easy to use resource listing health and social care services. 
The Live Well Greenwich line is available on 0800 470 4831 (Mondays-Thursdays 8.30am-7.30pm, Fridays 8.30am-5.30pm, Saturdays 9am-12pm). More information about face-to-face sessions with Live Well Coaches is also available on the same number. For more information, visit livewellgreenwich.org.uk

Digital support zones
​If you need help to improve your basic digital skills and use online services, you can come along to free drop-in sessions. The digital skills volunteers can help with basic skills such as creating an email account; paying for things like council tax and rent; reporting problems including flytipping and graffiti; booking services such as garden waste and mattress collections; applying online for things like Blue Badges and benefits.

FINANCIAL ADVICE

Help Through Hardship
If you are in financial crisis and live in England or Wales, call the free national helpline on 0808 2082138 for free (open Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm, closed on public holidays) to talk confidentially with a trained Citizens Advice adviser. They can help address your crisis and provide support to maximise your income, help you navigate the benefits system, and identify any additional grants you could be entitled to. If needed, they’ll issue you with a voucher so you can get an emergency food parcel from your local food bank.

Lewisham Multilingual Advice Service
Offering free and impartial advice, assistance and advocacy in different languages. Drop-in sessions and telephone advice. The main languages are Albanian, Arabic, Bengali, French, Italian, Kurdish, Portuguese, Spanish, Somali, Turkish, Polish & Vietnamese. Postitive Ageing Council
If you’re over 60 and live, work or study in Lewisham borough, you can join the Positive Ageing Council to discuss issues that effect the lives of older people. It is an open forum that meets four times a year. Anyone aged over 60 who lives, works, learns or volunteers in the borough can join. The group organise social events and activities and give older people an important voice in what services and facilities are provided in Lewisham.

HOMELESSNESS

999 Club
The 999 Club works with individuals aged 16 and over going through tough transitions and either experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness due to life events, such as coming out of prison, leaving care or psychiatric hospital. They can offer connection to specialist support and advice on housing, health, finance and employment, local community links to enable people to build positive networks independent of support services.
