Local artist Elaine Marshall studied painting and printmaking at Goldsmiths’ Art School, with a postgraduate diploma at the Slade School of Fine Art, and a BA degree in Book Arts at the London Institute.
Inspiration has come from travels abroad, as well as in her Greenwich studio, where she specialises in etching and relief printmaking. Observing urban foxes in her back garden has produced a series of etchings and linocuts through the seasons.
She transforms her evocative drawings of Greenwich Park and its historic architecture into original limited edition prints using traditional methods.
Her work is in many public and private collections, including the National Maritime and Victoria and Albert museums.
Elaine’s original prints are available at Greenwich Printmakers’ Gallery at 1a Greenwich Market, London SE10 and by visiting her website, elainemarshalprintmaker@artweb.com
