Cookery clubs
Greenwich Co-operative Development Agency (GDCA) operates free five- and six-week cookery clubs throughout Lewisham and Greenwich, providing ideas on healthy eating and how to feed yourself and your family on a budget. There are visits to local community gardens to learn more about food growing, and a free recipe book is provided.

English classes and refugee support
The Afghanistan and Central Asian Association works to free refugees and newcomers from the isolating feelings which can come with migration. It helps provide support, skills and knowledge to live and prosper in the UK, with workshops, English language classes, employment workshops, a women’s support group, a Saturday school and homework club, youth and family support services, drop-in and telephone advice, cultural and social events, many which are free.

Mycenae House Reach Out Projects
Mycenae House Community Centre in Blackheath has numerous social and support activities for the community, particularly the isolated, vulnerable and disadvantaged sections of the community. All sessions are free and accessible and refreshments are available at cost in the cafe/bar area.
Current initiatives include weekly meet-ups for carers, seated exercise, music album discussion, a social chat, singing, help with your gadget, crafts, hearing loss, bingo, music lessons, music and poetry.
