The Hotel Novotel is one of Greenwich’s more comfortable hotels, and is conveniently situated right next to the rail and DLR train  station, in the centre. Despite that, the rooms are quiet, ensuring a good night’s sleep, and many of the rooms on higher floors enjoy a great view of Greenwich.

As well as a range of room types, the hotel has a restaurant, bar, meeting rooms, on-site parking (extra charge), a fitness centre and steam room, and pets are allowed (extra charge). There is 24-hour room service and, being a family-friendly hotel, there’s a kids’ corner with toys and an Xbox console.

Although a chain hotel, and therefore lacking somewhat in character, the bedrooms and public areas are bright and spacious and very clean, and the staff friendly and welcoming. Rooms have flat-screen TVs, a safe, refrigerator, tea and coffee, and superior rooms have a Nespresso coffee machine. There’s a good buffet breakfast on offer, although this is not included in the room rate.
